ADDITIONAL TOLL DISCOUNT IN CONJUNCTION WITH CHINESE NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS

Class 1 highway users on the PLUS and ELITE highways will be able to enjoy additional 10 percent discount when they pay for toll between 12:01 am and 7:00 am on 21, 22, 23, 26, 29 and 30th January in conjunction with the Chinese New Year Holidays.

The 10 percent discount is an addition to the 10 percent discount which is enjoyed by all Class 1 vehicles traveling during off peak hours on the PLUS and ELITE highways since 1 January 2009.

According to the PLUS Managing Director, Noorizah Hj Abd Hamid, “The PLUS Travel Incentive Program is aimed at distributing the traffic to off peak hours which will enable the public to enjoy smoother and more convenient highway travel. It also gives the users added value and enjoy lower toll rates during the selected days and time.”

As such, PLUS advises the users to have adequate rest and ensure they are physically fit and ready to drive at night and early morning hours as well as take extra safety measures.

On the other hand, the PLUS and ELITE highways are equipped with various safety features for night driving such as reflective materials, highly visible lane markers, warning signages, rest areas, the PLUSRonda team, emergency telephones, street lighting at selected stretches and so on.
